Things to Do Near Wolfville: A Weekend From Sunken Escapes

Wolfville is the cultural heart of the Annapolis Valley — a university town that punches far above its weight on food, wine and walkability. From Sunken Escapes you're a fifteen-minute drive away. Here's how we'd spend a weekend.

Friday: Settle in Arrive late afternoon. Check in, grab a kayak, paddle Sunken Lake until the sun drops. Fire up the BBQ and the barrel sauna. Sleep with the windows cracked.

Saturday: Wine country Start with breakfast at the Front Street Café in Wolfville. Hit Lightfoot & Wolfville, Luckett Vineyards (yes, the red phone booth), and Benjamin Bridge in Gaspereau. Pack a picnic; the views are the point.

Sunday: Trails and tides Walk Cape Split or the easier Acadian Loop. Catch low tide at Evangeline Beach to see the world's highest tides leave the bay. Return to the cabin for one last sauna before checkout.

Where to eat Le Caveau at Domaine de Grand Pré, Troy Restaurant in Wolfville, the Port Pub in Port Williams. Reserve ahead in summer.

This is the trip we send guests on every weekend — and the reason most come back.

Come stay with us.
